What it is
The MA1085 is a self-powered, wireless GPS asset tracker that runs on its own internal 14 Ah lithium battery. Because it needs no wiring, it can monitor anything that isn't wired for power — trailers, containers, generators, light towers, and heavy equipment — reporting its location over 4G LTE Cat-M1 for an extended period between charges.

Acquire location
Takes a GPS fix — across GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS — on a schedule or when it senses movement.
Report over cellular
Each fix is sent over the 4G LTE Cat-M1 network to the GPSandTrack platform.
Conserve power
Between reports the unit sleeps to stretch battery life; motion wakes it for more frequent updates.
Confirm on demand
Press the button by the LED window and the Green GPS then Blue Cellular LEDs confirm a fix and send the current location.
Where to place it
Placement is crucial. The tracker has to connect to several GPS satellites every time it wakes, so give it as much open sky as possible — it can't be boxed in by metal.
Good placement
- +Mount on the surface of the equipment or trailer being tracked
- +Fasten to a clean surface with four #4 self-drilling screws
- +Inside a vehicle, place it under the driver or passenger seat
- +On a frame, mount close to the edge of the asset — a plastic bumper is fine
Avoid
- −Not in the engine compartment, glove box, or trunk
- −Not inside an enclosed trailer, truck bay, or sealed compartment
- −Not toward the middle of the undercarriage or in wheel wells
- −Not enclosed in metal — an all-metal or plastic/metal bumper blocks it

Press the button by the LED window and confirm the asset appears on your dashboard.
